The Use of CTRL+F

In this tutorial, I will explain the use of Ctrl+F command for the full utilization of our main website

It's very simple. You only have to press and hold the Ctrl key and the F key in your keyboard. This key combination will tell the computer that you wanted to find certain information in the records. In return, the computer will provide you with a dialog box wherein you will be ask to key in the information you want to find.

When you are inside MS Office applications such as MS Word and Excel, this Find and Replace dialog box will appear when you press and hold the Ctrl then F keys in your keyboard. This is useful when you need to immediately find a word or group of words in a long document.

In the internet browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer, the find functionality is the same; only the search box placement are different.

The Google Chrome will bring in the search box at the upper right corner below the address bar.

Now, I’m finding for the number 2 and keyed it in the dialog box. As a result, the Google Chrome highlighted all the number 2s in the page. Then it found 456 of 2s immediately.

Mozilla Firefox will bring in the Find dialog box at the lower left corner of the page.

Consequently, you will need to enable the "Highlight all" button in the dialog box so all the same searched information in the page will be highlighted.

The Internet Explorer will bring it in differently. Its dialog box will float in the upper left corner. It is poor and different because it doesn’t have the ability to highlight all the same searched information together. It has the previous and next buttons instead, wherein you can click and the highlight will jump from one instance to another. It cannot give you the power to see everything highlighted like what Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox can do.

I found the Google Chrome as the most suitable and adequate browser that can cater to our Ctrl+F needs. Hope you guys had learned a lot from this tutorial. See main website now.
